There are two ways of updating your 5800.

First is installing the Nokia Software Updater(NSU) to your PC, connecting your phone then upgrade.

Second is through Firmware Over the Air (FOTA). Just dial*#0000#, then options, then check for updates

My unit is ok, complete, and I love it!

I love the option where you can use alphanumeric keypad for texting. The features are so-so for me. What's great about this phone is you can download/install application that suits your need.

You can read my post for the thing that I love about it and the things that I didn't.

BTW, be sure to upgrade your firmware for enhanced performance. The current version that is available for the Philippines is v 21.0.025

Enjoy the new phone! :)

Thanks fermie, kasi bumili si mama last week sa Manila, kasi I'm in Tacloban she'll be home by wednesday and she said the saleslady told her that the 5800 she bought was assembled in china, and I've read articles saying that china 5800's do not have wifi so I thought pati yung chinese made na nandito sa pinas.

Hi Daniel... 5800's in the Philippines do have WiFi, I think non-WiFi phones are only those that will be distributed to China
