DC Staff and Boss

DC Staff and Boss

If you are searching about the latest in entertainment, sports, technology and stuff… you must have been suggested by Google to the Daily Contributor.

Well, Daily Contributor is a news blog started around a year ago. Started as a hobby, then came a little SEOing, listed to Google News… and now I can say that the owner can quit his day job to focus on.

Lately the big boss is earning a lot while sleeping so he treated us, his contributors/consultants, designer, insider, and… errr, moral support, to a night of delectable foods. We literally tried all the available dish on the menu. Thanks boss for making our tummies bigger <no sarcasm intended>. I’ll do some catching up writing articles when I’m not lazy :p

After filling ourselves up when have two sets of friendly bowling match. My team… well, the boss’s team won! Yey! Free fruit shake from the losers!

We expect some more free stuff from the Daily Contributor soon! :) Hmmm, hey boss…. How about free laptops to your contributors/staff? That’s a good idea and motivation right?

This is your friendly neighbourhood web developer/contributor saying “Kudos to DC!”

I have this routine visit to dentist to have my teeth check-up last Friday (June 12, 2009). I asked her that I started feeling or noticing that my jaw is kinda having some locking action (or whatever you call that). She examined me… and from her reaction it seemed like my condition is not good… freaky!

She asked me to have some x-rays. I looked at the film and found out that something is not right at first sight. Impacted wisdom tooth! Just see the photo I’ve posted. Just click it for a larger image

So that’s it. The fate of my teeth, whether who gets extracted or not, or if I need a brace or an appliance is still in a question.

This is your friendly neighbourhood web developer… and I am laughing about my lazy and gay wisdom tooth! Hahahaha!

It’s been a long while since I have updated this blog… So, what keeps me lazy… errr… busy these days?

- Reborn! Naruto and Bleach have been such a boring manga for me these past few weeks/months… so I decided to read another manga. Yeah it is addicting! I’ve read to their latest release within 3 weeks (5 days because I only read on weekends). That baby is so cute!

- A long friend of mine, well… her sister asked me to make a website for their company. So that takes up some of my time also. Well, much when it comes to the designing part.

- Planning and doing some actions for my future… enough said J

January 10 2008, Nokia’s 5800 Xpress Music is launched here in the Philippines. It is said to be an iPhone killer, one of the first touch screen phones from Nokia.

I bought one… as a reward for myself (since iPhone 3G or Xperia is too expensive for me). Ok yeah… It is an impulse buying…hahahah! And here is my informal review:

Ok, I’ve been busy… yeah yeah lazy that I only make this post today instead of earlier (nearer to new year). Wee, its still January!

2008 was a blast for me. A very good year indeed.

Here are some of the thing that made 2008 very good:

  • I’m still alive! Aliiivvvee and posting.
  • I got my promotion! Yes!
  • I learned a lot, lets just say thats too many to mention
  • I still have a job despite of the crisis… oh thank God!
  • I got some freelance job (freelance==money!!!)
  • I learn nihongo/Japanese (somehow…a little bit)
  • Its another year in this relationship… yeehee!
  •  and many more thing for me to be thankful for…

It was also a busy year for me… so I decided to reward myself (who cares about the freaking crisis!) hehehehe.

For this year… a little change wont hurt. Hehehehe! Higher pay? New life? More freelance? New work? Bring it on!!!

Im quite surprised when I open my email this morning, the first time that I opened it this year. There are few emails from unknown (not in my contact) source. I thought that Gmail’s spam protection is starting to lag behind those spammer geeks.

Well, the email come from prospective clients… to my surprise! How the hell did they know me? Oh…. yeah…. I have my site and my blog, both saying that I am a web developer. I know that my design don’t impress them, i haven’t even made a post to my blog for some time… and I have not portfolio to show them…then why? Why me?! Hahahaha! I must really start building other sites today so I can have a full blown portfolio.

Well, I might be taking some of the freelance jobs, yeah some. I might be busy doing projects for the company…but I might also be busy looking for another job ;) But I’m not quiting my job until I found a better one, I won’t be a full time freelancer.

Just keep them coming! More jobs, more cash!

This is your friendly neighborhood web developer and this is the way to jumpstart 09…taking freelance jobs!

The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (日本語能力試験 nihongo nōryoku shiken), or JLPT, is a standardized test to evaluate and certify the language proficiency of non-native Japanese speakers. It is held once every year, on the first Sunday of December.

The Japanese Language Proficiency  Test (JLPT) is around the corner, it is actually this Sunday Dec 07, 08. And because I’m working in a japanese company… I’ll be there in la salle to try on JLPT level 4. My permit is secured, I’m reviewing double time (oooowwwwssss?!) and im still blogging hahahah!

First of all… I’m not expecting myself to pass this exam, nihongo is so damn hard! But who knows… lady luck might be smiling on me. Also…I need the incentive that the company will give the passers hahahah! This will also give a certification under my belt which might help me in finding other jobs.

This is your friendly neighborhood web developer and I’m getting ready for JLPT (zzzzzzzzZZZZZ…)
