I have this routine visit to dentist to have my teeth check-up last Friday (June 12, 2009). I asked her that I started feeling or noticing that my jaw is kinda having some locking action (or whatever you call that). She examined me… and from her reaction it seemed like my condition is not good… freaky!
She asked me to have some x-rays. I looked at the film and found out that something is not right at first sight. Impacted wisdom tooth! Just see the photo I’ve posted. Just click it for a larger image
So that’s it. The fate of my teeth, whether who gets extracted or not, or if I need a brace or an appliance is still in a question.
This is your friendly neighbourhood web developer… and I am laughing about my lazy and gay wisdom tooth! Hahahaha!

I have that condition too before and what’s worst is that one of the impacted wisdon tooth is slowly decaying since I can’t reach it when I’m brushing my teeth.
I had a surgery done on my tooth. It’s not painful but it has a lot of blood. You will be injected anesthesia for it until iut gets numbed. In my case, my tooth was broken down into two first before it was extracted using a little chain saw-like dentist tool.
During the first few days, you should just eat soft foods. Expect to have bleeding. Then after around 2 weeks, you will go back to the dentist and have the sutures (tahi) be removed.
In this diagram, one of the teeth is really impacted. I guess it will suffer the same consequence as mine. Good luck. Hehe…
well, I’m still waiting for my dentist’s recommendation on what to do to it…. or if it is really the cause of my jaw lock
and I’am afraid of having it extracted… I haven’t experienced tooth extraction yet
