Literally, this blog almost got to a point where it has to have to restart again.

Why? … it is  because of this silly person name “ME”. Yeah, that freak tried tweaking things up… ending in losing all posts and even his login, darns it.

Good thing a friend of mine have saved my theme… and I, on the other hand, managed to restore the posts. Whew! Thank heavens I won’t have to reboot “warmreboot”!

Since I am a web developer I can share with you some tips and techniques that I helped me, or that I have discovered.

Here are some tips for new web developers out there:

From Wikipedia

Angels & Demons is a bestselling mystery novel by Dan Brown. Published in 2000, it introduces the character Robert Langdon, who is also the principal character of Brown’s subsequent, better-known novel The Da Vinci Code.

An ambigram, also sometimes known as an inversion or flipscript, is a graphical figure that spells out a word not only in its form as presented, but also in another direction or orientation.

This book is my inspiration for making ambigrams, like any other person who have read it. But my ambirams are still far from perfection when you compare it to John Langdon’s (the one who did the ambigrams in Dan Brown’s book)

Have you visited the yahoo homepage lately? I just visited it a couple of minutes ago and found out some interesting things.

Yahoo is now offering Firefox 3 download. Crap! so the Firefox-Google partnership is really over?  I thought Google is still funding Mozilla!

So what’s next? Yahoo will be the default homepage/serach of firefox? Will the download of firefox now include Yahoo toolbar instead of Google’s?

Last night as I was eating dinner I hear my housemate ranting about her figure. She was there in front of the mirror looking at what she claimed as her fat body. She insisted that she should lose some pounds, whether it would be through exercise or diet

I face the same kind of problem about before but not after an experimental diet that worked for me. After being hired as a systems engineer/web developer I spend most of my time in front of the computer, sitting … ok, with some eating. And sometimes pigging out on what I want to relieve stress. It sure took its toll on my weight. From an average of 115 lbs, my weight rocketed to almost 150 lbs. in a short time. I was quite bothered by this so I started my experimental diet.

Here is what I did… » Read more after the jump →

I will be meeting a client this afternoon, my first client as a freelance web developer. I am quite excited with this new project… excited about the money, excited about what I can learn, excited about who I will meet, excited of the new website/online system that I can build

Then, the excitement fades fast as reality hit me. What if the client asks for the sites that I have developed? Most online systems that I have done are deployed only in my current company’s intranet. Darn, even this site is not yet in good shape… What would I show the client? I have no full-blown portfolio, no! I have no portfolio at all! Interesting, a web developer no developed website to show. Darn it!

Well, nothing more that I can do about that. I hope he can be please by the online systems I have developed even without seeing them. <Fingers crossed>

I am trying to find something interesting on the web when I mispelled Yahoo as Yahooo, Google still gave a suggestion of what I might be looking for but still return many website with the mispelled word. Amazed with this I tried searching for Yaho and Yahho, again Google found many hits with this keywords

The keyword yahooo might be popular because it is an expresion… of joy, of success… of whatever.  But the other two are different things, i really think they are mispelled. Or they may be spelled that way on purpose, read: SEO.

The Yaho/Yahooo/Yahho Research

I try to research and this is what I found out:

Yahooo have an average search volume of  110,000 and is searched 90,500 times on August.

Yaho have an average search volume of  246,000 and is searched 201,000 times on August.

Yahho have an average search volume of  90,500 and is searched 74,000 times on August.

Man! that sure is a lot of searches for mispelled words!

The web is full of blogs, really… in the Philippines alone you can’t count, even imagine I think the  number of blogs and bloggers.

But here I am, despite the number of competition, starting up a blog of my own. I’m not really new in blogging, I have my blogger (blogspot) and Multiply blog.

Whats my purpose? Well, the main one is to immerse myself in the web, its technologies, its trends… because I’m a web developer, I need it. Second I think is to help, to share my specialties… I also am a newbie once and needed a lot of this.

You’ll see more of web stuff here (i hope so). PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, browsers, web… but since this is a personal and not a techonlogy blog I’ll also be dropping some ideas, rants, comments and anything that interest me (I hope it will hit the right spot in the reader’s mind)

My first step is to give a helping hand, if you have any questions please do send me an email: rommelrfermalan@gmail.com and I will do my best to help you

Ciao!
